Deserted from my Band, in Colonel Crane's Regiment of                   
Artillery, John Mewse, a drummer, about 14 years old, a                 
likely lad, of a light complexion, and short dark hair.                 
Whoever takes up said deserter, and conveys him to my Band,             
or to the Regiment above-mentioned, shall receive ten                   
dollars, and all reasonable charges, from me, John Hiwill,              
Musician of Artillery.  Boston, June 23, 1777.
