Since our last we received the melancholly news that the                
Indians had fallen upon the inhabitants at Mahoni-Creek on              
Susquehana, near Shomakin in this province; and killed and              
carried off 25 of them. . . . our people heard the                      
Delawares, talking to this purpose; what are the English                
come here for?  when he was answered by another, to kill us;            
when another said, can't send word to our friends who can               
soon be here; and then sung the war song, and 4 Indians went            
off in two cannoes.
