Menu

Basic Notes

NOTE: This unit is NOT wall mountable.

NOTE: Change Language Display When Unit Says "NO CALLS".

NOTE: Caller ID must be set up with the local phone company for the unit to work. There are two caller ID packages available - Basic - sends only the phone number to the unit. Deluxe - also sends the date, time, and caller name.

Ask the caller where they got their unit. If they purchased the unit from Innotrac or are leasing it from BellSouth have them call Innotrac for service - 800-733-2355.

NOTE: All our stand alone ANSWERING MACHINES and stand alone CID’s, are designed to work only on single line telephones. There are only 2 lines to conduct the wire in the jack on the back of the unit, which are capable to deliver only one line. If someone would connect a single line telephone, a single line caller ID, or a single line answering machine to a 2/line jack RJ14c, the unit would deliver only one line in the best case. As a RULE our units cannot be connected to a 2/line jack and expect to deliver 2 lines.

NOTE: If the customer has CALL FORWARDING services and they transfer to a busy number, the unit will transfer to a 3rd number given by the customer. If the 3rd person (or any person) where the customer transferred to does not have CID services, but they do have the CALL FORWARDING feature on their unit; it will NOT show the customer’s number on their unit.

NOTE: REGARDING: MESSAGE WAITING INDICATOR ON ALL CALLER ID

All our callers ID Stand Alone, Integrated, and Cordless, Do have capability of displaying messages on the LCD Display. If this Icon is "ON" on the Caller ID, It means that you have MESSAGE SERVICE with the phone company and that there is at least one message waiting to be retrieved. Once you retrieve the message, the icon should disappear.

This message waiting will appear ONLY if the phone company provides a message waiting service with VISUAL indicator.

Many phone companies do not have the visual indicator. This means when a message comes in, The phone company will provide a stutter dial tone and when the subscriber picks up the HANDSET he will hear the stutter dial tone notifying him to retrieve his messages from his phone co.

Stutter dial tone will NOT activate the message icon on the LCD display.
