How do I install my unit?

When installing your unit with another device, such as an answering machine, fax machine, telephone or modem, the caller ID should be the first item attached to the phone jack.

Connect the jack marked "tel. line" directly to your telephone wall outlet.  Connect the jack marked "phone" to the first additional device.  plug the AC power cord into the small round connector on the back of The unit and into the wall socket.

Although batteries are not required for product operation, it is recommended that you install two triple "A" batteries to prevent memory loss during power failure.

After installation you should  press a small pointed object (such as a ballpoint pen) into the reset hole in the back of the unit for 5 seconds.

If you have two phone numbers and would like caller ID service for both numbers, you must have separate caller ID service and a separate caller ID unit for each phone number.
