Alliance Graphics Guidelines for Submitting Artwork Digital Files:
We welcome your digital files which can be provided us on CD, Zip (100mb), or by email.
Please send your digital files to art@unionbug.com. We can generally work with any kind of digital file you have, but some
require a lot more work to be useful than others. We certainly understand that you can’t always do it the best way but if you can it makes our job easier, saves you money and improves the final quality of your shirt. If you have any questions about any of these guidelines please feel free to call our friendly, courteous and knowledgeable customer service people at 510-845-8835. Our goal always is to give you the best quality work possible and we’ll work very hard to give you the best quality shirt no matter what your file looks like. We have years of experience turning almost anything into useful art.
Here are the formats we like:
Adobe Illustrator EPS with all images embedded and all fonts converted to outline paths
Adobe Photoshop EPS with a minimum resolution of 150 dpi at actual size. (RGB format is best)
Adobe Acrobat PDF files are usually okay but any EPS file is almost always better
QuarkXpress with all fonts and images included
jpeg files are usually okay (many files downloaded off the internet are too small and dont have enough resolution to be used to create film.) If youre wondering if your image is okay try printing it out at the size you want it to be. The quality you get is the quality the image on your shirt will be.
Formats were not crazy about:
Microsoft Word or Powerpoint: these files are not editable in ways that we can use to make film separations for you.
Tiny internet jpegs or gifs. Again, they dont transfer into film very well.
An email of a website (see above)
Please make sure your file indicates colors (PMS preferred), placement on the shirt and sizing. Please note that our art department works on Macs so we cant read PC provided fonts.
Please note that we require a paper hard copy of all digital files to ensure that what we get digitally is what you want. (Fonts can be replaced, images drop off, colors look different from one screen to the next.) Alliance Graphics cannot be responsible for these kinds of mistakes if hard copy is not provided. For full color process work we require a color image (printout, photo, slide, painting) that shows the colors just the way you want them to be on your shirt.
Napkin Art:
Heck yes!. You can still get a great t-shirt made even if youre no good with a computer. Or even if you cant draw a lick and just have an idea, our full-service art department can help you make it a reality! If you have a clean print out or photograph or drawing we can scan that in, resize it, clean it up, add color, whatever you need.
Great Products. No Sweat!:
