UPO sponsored its 5th Annual Run/Walk
for Head Start on Saturday, May 8, 1999. This annual
event, brainchild of UPO's Robert Durham, longtime UPO employee
and member of the agency's Resource Development component, saw
more than 150 participate. The Run-Walk kicked-off from the "Awakening
Statue," a very popular Washington, DC tourist attraction
located at Hains Point in the sprawling East Potomac Park. All
proceeds go toward the UPO Head Start program.
